My October Juvenile Justice Stakeholders Roundtable
15 November 2016
Three weeks ago, I hosted a conversation which I organized as a Juvenile Justice Stakeholders Roundtable. On Wednesday, October 26, 2016, approximately fifty invitees joined me here in Annapolis to discuss the jurisdiction of the Juvenile Court, the impact of the unfettered use of juvenile probation, the impact of court fees upon outcomes for indigent juveniles, and resources/training for indigent defense counsel.
Grouped by industry (i.e. Youth Advocacy and Service Providers, Legal Educators and Practitioners, Faith Community, etc.) into panels, the following entities were represented:
Prince George's County Office of Public Defender
Some key moments and photos were live-tweeted during the Roundtable. I am grateful for the interactivity, genuine feedback, and impressive communication that took place, and I look forward to seeing what can be done during the 2017 legislative session.
